Entry-Level Intern

We are seeking passionate and driven Software Engineering Interns who have recently completed college education and is looking to gain practical, hands-on experience in a professional software development environment.

This internship is ideal for recent college graduates, pre-grads, current students, freshers, bootcamp students/graduates, or individuals looking to transition into a career in software engineering with a company which provides an opportunity to gain significant hands-on experience in coding, testing, documenting, debugging while working alongside experienced developers and engineers on real-world projects.

Workplace Type: Remote
Weekly Hours: 16hrs per week (hours/work schedule flexible)
Internship: 10-weeks

Key Responsibilities :
Assist in developing and maintaining software applications using C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server
Work with the full software development lifecycle : design, implementation, testing, and deployment
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
Document code, processes, and development progress
Debug and troubleshoot software issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions
Perform other tasks and assignments as needed to support StarBright’s internal business and company websites
Continuously learn and develop technical skills to become a more proficient software engineer and developer

Qualifications : Required
1). Need to be enrolled in some form of college software engineer degree path, or be involved in independent software training
(i.e. Udemy, Youtube training courses, Microsoft certifications, or other valid forms of independent training).
2). Strong interest in software engineering
3). Basic understanding of C# and the .NET framework
4). Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL Server and basic web development concepts
5). Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)
6). Completion of the 3-week Software Engineering Placement Program

Preferred
Exposure to .NET, Web APIs, and/or Entity Framework
Experience with version control systems like Git
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) is a plus
Some previous project work (academic, personal, or freelance) showing development skills and/or
a will to learn and expand current skills
